SBI conducts searches in Kyiv City Council building

Law enforcement officers have prohibited video recording during investigative actions

The State Bureau of Investigation is conducting searches in the building of the Kyiv City Council.

This was reported by the council secretary, Volodymyr Bondarenko.

The search warrant was issued by an investigative judge of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv. According to Bondarenko, the document only permits searches in the premises and offices of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

The secretary added that if attempts are made to access the offices, video recordings, or anything else of the Kyiv City Council – it will be noted that this is not covered by the warrant. Moreover, law enforcement officers have prohibited video recording and the work of journalists during investigative actions.

"The very proceeding is about the dispatch of soldiers to the KCMA, some of whom are concurrently deputies of the Kyiv City Council. Previously, all documents that are in the search warrant were voluntarily provided to the investigator," Bondarenko explained.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that detectives from the BEB had conducted searches at the Lviv Customs Office regarding the illegal importation of equipment into Ukraine. The cost of the imported equipment is around 40 million UAH.
