In the context of support for micro, small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine, since the inception of the state guarantee instrument on a portfolio basis in December 2020, 22,587 loans have been issued for a total of 73.81 billion UAH.
This is reported by the Government Portal.
The obligations for the principal debt, which is partially secured by state guarantees on a portfolio basis, amounted to 25.57 billion UAH. This is about 70% of the total limit of guarantees provided (36.32 billion UAH).
In terms of the number of loans being serviced as of 1 May of the current year under state guarantees on a portfolio basis, PJSC CB PrivatBank leads – it is currently servicing 11,790 loans for a total of 17.46 billion UAH, which constitutes 72% of the limit of such guarantees granted to this bank. Second in terms of such loans is JSC Oschadbank – 2,129 loans for a total of 8.79 billion UAH (correspondingly – 76% of the bank's limit).
By type of economic activity, the most loans, partially secured by state guarantees on a portfolio basis, are serviced in the following sectors:
- agriculture – 6,189 loans for a total of 32.52 billion UAH;
- wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles – 6,533 loans for 10.51 billion UAH;
- processing industry – 1,544 loans for 5.62 billion UAH.
Background. Mind reported that this year, agribusinesses had received nearly 32 billion UAH in loans to develop their businesses.
