Kazakhstani authorities have seized a batch of drones that were illegally attempted to be transported from Kyrgyzstan to Russia.

In particular, 14 DJI AgrasT30 drones were detained in the Zhambyl region, which is located on the border with Kyrgyzstan. Each of them was worth about 1.1 million rubles ($9,000), and the total amount of the batch was 15.8 million rubles.
The company, Impulse-Invest, was going to transit the drones through Kazakhstan, but did not have a license to transport such goods. The equipment was allegedly intended for a Russian construction company.
The drones were confiscated by Kazakh customs, and Impulse-Invest was fined 76 thousand tenge. As a result, the drones became the property of Kazakhstan. The Zhambyl Department of State Property and Privatization has already put the batch up for auction.
According to the Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan, in 2022, the republic imported drones worth $5 million, and sent $1.23 million to Russia.
