russia has increased the production of Kinzhal and Kalibr missiles, apparently circumventing Western sanctions – Yuriy Ihnat

There was a brief pause in the spring when the adversary ramped up production and now has more of both Kinzhal and Kalibr missiles

After a brief pause, russia ramped up missile production, evidently establishing component supply routes that evade Western sanctions.

This was stated by the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuriy Ihnat, in an interview with the Ukrainska Pravda outlet.

"There was a small pause in the spring when the enemy increased production. And now, according to new data from the Defence Intelligence, there are more Kinzhal and Kalibr missiles. Evidently, russia has found a way to circumvent sanctions with the help of certain countries that cooperate with it. It receives technological items that it cannot manufacture itself: boards, chips, semiconductors. These are the things without which a missile will not fly," emphasized Ihnat.

In his opinion, the adversary did not have enough precision long-range missiles – Kh-101, Iskander-M, Iskander-K, Kalibr, Kinzhal, which can reach far inside the country and hit accurately. When they attacked critical infrastructure in Ukraine, they effectively used all their potential of this strategic weaponry.

"So, I hope that russia will be squeezed by sanctions. If sanctions are comprehensively applied and controlled, then russia can be put in its place," noted the Air Force spokesperson.

Background. British media published a weapon supply contract, which could be the first significant evidence that Iran was selling artillery and tank shells, as well as various size missiles, to russia.
