The total amount of military, financial, and humanitarian aid provided to Ukraine by the international community since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022 is about 170 billion euros.
Source. This was reported by the official telegram channel of the Ukrainian Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, citing a new study by the Kiel University Institute of World Economy.
This amount includes assistance provided to Ukraine by both the official authorities of four dozen countries and international organizations, including the IMF, the World Bank, and the financial institutions of the European Union.
In total, the EU countries have allocated almost 62 billion euros to Kyiv, while the amount of aid from the United States exceeded 70 billion euros.
In addition, the list of major donor countries also includes (in alphabetical order): Australia, Canada, China, Canada, India, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Taiwan, Turkey, Switzerland, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.
The assistance provided by these countries totals about €23 billion.
International financial organizations allocated almost EUR 13 billion more.
At the same time, only 40% of the total amount of 170 billion is spent on supplying Ukraine with weapons (in the case of the United States, it is more than 60%). Approximately half of all allocated funds are financial assistance, and the remaining 10% are humanitarian support for Ukrainians.
Ukraine received the largest amount of military support from the United States. The amount of military aid from American partners has already exceeded 43 billion euros, the report said.
The European Union has become a leader in financial assistance. EU member states and European institutions have pledged to provide Ukraine with almost €36 billion for budgetary needs.
