Approximately, the damages resulting from the sabotage of the Kakhovka HPP by terrorists amount to at least $2 billion. According to the data, almost half of the damages, namely $950 million, is due to the flooding of private homes and associated infrastructure.

In addition to this, the Ministry points out that over a quarter of the total sum of the damages, which amounts to $586 million, is caused by the destruction of the Hydroelectric Station itself. The overall damages to the energy infrastructure amount to $624 million.
Furthermore, the damages to transport infrastructure are estimated at $311 million, to industry – $105 million, to the social sector – $55 million, to agriculture – $25 million.
The Ministry of Environment notes that, based on preliminary estimates, the damage inflicted on the environment is at least $1.5 billion. The foremost issue remains the provision of drinking water to the affected areas.
