Farmers from 12 provinces of Ukraine have started harvesting early grains and pulses. More than 1 million tonnes of grain were reportedly harvested on an area of 308.2 thousand ha (3% of the total) with a yield of 33.2 centners per ha.
This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, the leaders in harvesting were the agrarians of Odesa Oblast, threshing 468 800 tonnes of grain, and Mykolaiv Oblast, threshing 118 000 ha of the territory.
As reported, 805,800 tonnes of barley, 172,000 tonnes of wheat and 45,800 tonnes of peas were harvested from 235,000 ha, 51,400 ha and 21,700 ha of land respectively. Also, agrarians in 5 provinces harvested winter rape from the area of 47 700 ha and threshed 86 200 tonnes of seeds at the yield of 18.1 c/ha.
