Andriy Smirnov, Deputy Head of the Office of the President on Judicial Matters, stated that the implementation of the law on oligarchs was "inappropriate".
He said this in an interview with RBK-Ukraine.
"Some have resigned, others have closed TV channels so as not to meet the criteria. But today there is a war. Even big businesses have lost a lot today," said Smirnov.
The deputy added that a draft law on the Antimonopoly Committee, which would strengthen antitrust measures and the capabilities of the state as a regulator, was being considered in Parliament. In addition, there are more specific and targeted laws that enhance the fight against excessive influence and interference in domestic political life.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the Venice Commission advised Ukraine to postpone the implementation of the law on oligarchs due to the war.
