Wheat prices have jumped on international markets after a Russian drone strike on a Ukrainian port on the Danube River and the shelling of the Odesa seaport.
On Monday morning, the price of wheat for September delivery on the Chicago Board of Trade was almost 6% higher than at the previous close.
Global markets are concerned about the deteriorating grain supply situation following Russia's withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain Initiative last week and a series of Russian drone attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure.
