The number of fatalities from the overnight missile strike on Sumy has risen to two people, with 20 injured, three of whom are hospitalised.
This is reported by the press service of the city council.
"Due to the attack, 2 people died, 20 were injured (3 remain in the hospital)," the statement, posted on the city council's website on Sunday, reads.
In addition, as a result of the enemy attack, buildings of a vocational technical school were destroyed and damaged, two dormitories suffered damage as well.
Debris clearance and population evacuation are ongoing. Thirty-six employees of the State Emergency Service, seven pieces of equipment, and seven units of communal equipment have been involved in the work.
Temporary accommodation has been provided for 13 individuals.
