Helicopter crash in Brovary: Theories of an assassination attempt on state officials or sabotage have not been confirmed

The Prosecutor's Office promises to inform about the final conclusions shortly

Theories of an assassination attempt on state officials or sabotage during the plane crash in Brovary, which occurred on 18 January 2023, have not been confirmed. 

This was announced by Ukraine's Prosecutor General, Andriy Kostin, in an interview with Ukrinform.

It is noted that at the beginning of the investigation, law enforcement officers proposed four main theories:

As of today, the Prosecutor's Office has gathered all the necessary technical documents, and the necessary expert evaluations are being completed. In addition, investigators have deciphered the flight recorders. Based on the collected data, a 3-D flight simulation of the aircraft was created as well.

"I can preliminarily say that the theories related to sabotage or assassination attempt on state officials have not been confirmed. We will report the final conclusions from the pre-trial investigation shortly," promised Kostin.

Background. Mind previously reported that a helicopter had crashed near a kindergarten in Brovary on 18 January. Nine crew members, including former Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyi, died. In total, as a result of the crash, 13 adults and 1 child died.
