The Ministry of Energy and auditing firm KPMG, at a meeting of the energy sector working group working on the Ukraine Facility programme, forecast that by 2032 the demand for electricity will double compared to the period before the full-scale war between russia and Ukraine.

It is noted that the drivers of growth will be post-war reconstruction processes, export-oriented industries, and an increase in the number of household consumers.
In addition, the parties discussed organisational matters concerning the group's work, priorities for the industry's development, potential legislative changes, as well as means for the development of renewable energy.
It is specified that the developed preparations will be used for the formulation of strategic documents for the industry's development. It is expected that the full preparation of the plan will be completed by 31 October.
