The Ministry for Restoration and USAID are launching a community energy resilience project, announced the head of the department, Oleksandr Kubrakov.

Within the project, structures will work on:

• utilising existing infrastructure for the development of small distributed generation;
• implementing highly efficient cogeneration;
• a gradual transition to renewable energy sources.

Among the tasks remains the restoration of damaged infrastructure and protection of energy objects. The ministry and specialists from the USA are working together on the best technical solutions.

The parties have also agreed to draft a project roadmap in the near future and identify communities for the launch of pilot projects.

"Our task now is not only to ensure the successful passage of the heating season but also to implement comprehensive solutions for the stable operation of the energy system in the coming years," explained Kubrakov.
