Occupying forces are planning a provocation at the Kursk Nuclear Power Station and are preparing to evacuate the local population.
This is reported by the National Resistance Centre of Ukraine.
According to the report, in Kursk Oblast, preparations are underway for an evacuation from the zone of potential radioactive contamination in case of an accident at the nuclear power plant. The local authority has been tasked with creating a transport register.
It's noted that overall they plan to evacuate between 21,000 to 57,000 people. "Given that the population of the region exceeds 1 million people, and Kursk itself has 435,000, this refers to about 5% of the regional population, indicating the 'selectiveness' of those who made the list," the report states.
Specifically, they plan to evacuate people from Kursk and its surroundings to the northern part of the region to the following settlements:
The centre reminded that the Defence Forces operate exclusively in Ukrainian territory and do not plan any attacks on nuclear facilities.
"This provocation is necessary for the russians themselves to divert the world's attention from the capture of the Zaporizhzhia NPP," Resistance Centre of Ukraine pointed out.
Background. The centre earlier reported that russian occupying forces planned to transport waste from russia to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
