Due to shorter daylight hours and cloudy weather, solar power plants produced less electricity. As a result, Ukrenergo imported 1,200 MW of emergency aid from Romania. The importation took place during the evening peak consumption from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
This was announced by the company's press service.
Additionally, it is noted that a new summer consumption record was set, exceeding the previous record by 0.4%. However, the company emphasises that "emergency aid is the last tool to overcome a power deficit" and the cost of such electricity is high.
It is specified that today there will be imports of electricity from Slovakia and Moldova during morning and evening hours, with a maximum capacity of up to 645 MW.
