Swedish infantry fighting vehicles Combat Vehicle 90 (CV90) will be manufactured in Ukraine. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky following negotiations in Sweden on 21 August.
The Head of State emphasised that the Ukrainian military was very satisfied with these vehicles.
On 15 August, the Swedish government decided on a new package of support for Ukraine. This assistance includes ammunition and spare parts for the equipment that the country has donated to Kyiv, including combat vehicles and Leopard 2 tanks.
The Ukrainian president has now arrived in Greece to attend the Ukraine-Balkans summit, where defence and security cooperation will be discussed.
He is expected to hold talks with President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, as well as meet with leaders of the EU and the Balkan region.
"The agenda is all that we can do together to protect human life and freedom in our common European home. Ukraine-Balkans summit: joint meeting with Balkan leaders, coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, defense cooperation, security," Zelensky wrote on Telegram after landing in Athens.
With his visit to Greece, Zelensky concludes his European tour, during which he has already visited Sweden, the Netherlands, and Denmark.
