The United States has allocated $522 million for the purchase of energy equipment, as well as to support and protect the Ukrainian energy system.
This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal at a meeting of the Presidium of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.
"We are on the verge of a difficult winter. Thanks to the support of our partners, we jointly went through the last, most difficult heating season in our history. This winter, we have not only financial support, but also energy recovery," Shmyhal said.
According to the Prime Minister, Ukraine is almost 100% ready for the heating season.
All 9 units of nuclear power plants will operate during the autumn-winter period. The country has pumped 15.8 billion cubic meters of gas into storage facilities, which is more than a year earlier.
