National Police eliminates channel of supplying spare parts for "Shahed" to Russia from EU countries

A Russian residing in the Netherlands was identified, who has been supplying microcircuits to Russia for the last 7 months in violation of sanctions

Investigators of the National Police of Ukraine received two drones in good condition, which Russians use to shell Ukraine – Shahed-136 and Mohajer-6. They were dismantled into components and installed by a number of manufacturers of high-tech products, control units and microcircuits from the European Union and the United States, whose products were supplied to Russia to manufacture these drones in violation of sanctions.

Source. This was reported in a press release by the National Police.

Ukraine sent all the information collected to the law enforcement agencies of the European Union. The Financial Crimes Investigation Service of the Netherlands was the first to respond to this request, launching the international Operation Drake based on the materials received.

As noted in the report, as part of the operation and search operations in Ukraine and the Netherlands, indisputable evidence was collected against a Russian businessman who permanently resides in the Netherlands and has been supplying microcircuits for the military needs of the aggressor country to Russia in circumvention of sanctions for the past seven months.

To disguise his illegal activities, the offender used fictitious companies registered in the Maldives. Based on the evidence collected in the framework of the international operation "Drake", the court of Rotterdam sentenced the defendant to a year and a half in prison and a EUR 200,000 fine.

Thus, the channel of supply of critical components for the military-industrial complex to the territory of the Russian Federation for the shelling of Ukraine was blocked, the National Police informs.

Background. In October, it was reported that the Rotterdam District Court sentenced 55-year-old businessman Dmitry K., who holds Russian and Dutch citizenship, to 18 months in prison. He was found guilty of violating EU sanctions.
