On Tuesday, November 28, ENTSO-E Continental Europe confirmed the full implementation of the Catalogue of Measures by NPC Ukrenergo, which means the completion of the synchronization project between the Ukrainian power system and the European continental grid.

"The Ukrainian system operator NPC Ukrenergo has confirmed its compliance with the basic technical requirements necessary to ensure continuous synchronous operation between the power systems of continental Europe and Ukraine," ENTSO-E said in an official statement.
Continental European operators have also decided to increase the maximum volume of electricity imports to Ukraine and Moldova to 1700 MW.
This decision is based on the results of studies of the security and stability of synchronous operation of the Ukrainian and European power systems.
The emergency synchronization with the European power system took place on March 16, 2022, after three weeks of autonomous operation of the Ukrainian power system in the face of full-scale Russian aggression. Thanks to close cooperation between the operators of continental Europe and NPC Ukrenergo, the Ukrainian power system was interconnected with the European one 1.5 years ahead of schedule.
"Since then, NPC Ukrenergo has been making exceptional efforts, even in the difficult conditions of war, to ensure compliance with all operational rules," ENTSO-E emphasizes in its message.
"We highly appreciate today's decision and I am confident that this achievement will help to significantly increase the flexibility and reliability of our network, as well as create the preconditions for expanding cooperation. This is the result of many years of hard work, which became especially challenging after the outbreak of a full-scale war. We are grateful to ENTSO-E for their constant support and trust throughout this time," emphasized Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Board of NPC Ukrenergo.
