Source. This is stated in the White House statement following the US-Ukraine Defense Industrial Conference.

Also, the Ministries of Defense of Ukraine and the United States signed a statement of intent on the joint production of critical ammunition and the exchange of technical information.

The US Department of Defense provided Ukraine with technical data to start its own production of some FrankenSAM projects, which are designed to strengthen Ukrainian air defense by integrating Western munitions.

"The parallel production of these systems in Ukraine and the United States will accelerate their deployment and allow Ukraine to make a significant contribution to the support of its air defense systems," the White House said.

The US government will also create a special group of representatives from the State Department, the Departments of Commerce and Defense to provide "recommendations on potential agreements and export requirements for the Ukrainian defense industry."

Earlier, the US authorities promised to quadruple the production of 155-mm artillery shells supplied to Ukraine by the end of 2025.

In addition, the United States wants to increase the production of IMX, an explosive mixture chosen to replace trinitrotoluene (TNT) in shells. The army is also looking for funding to produce TNT domestically, as it is currently purchased abroad, for example, in Poland.
