Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba calls on all G7 countries and the EU to hear Ukraine and take decisive measures to cut off supplies of goods containing military components to Russia.
During a joint press statement with his French counterpart Stephane Sejourne in Kyiv on Saturday, Kuleba recalled today's Russian shelling, emphasizing that "many Western-made components have been repeatedly found in Russian missiles flying at the heads of Ukrainians."
According to a recent report by the Kyiv School of Economics and the Yermak-McFaul Group, 44% of all electronic components of Russian weapons are developed by Western companies, the minister emphasized.
"France, by the way, has the fewest complaints in this matter. But as a member of the EU, as a member of the G7, I want to take this opportunity to call on all G7 countries and the EU to finally hear Ukraine and take decisive measures to cut off supplies to Russia of goods containing these components," the minister said.
"Russia is using washing machines, microwaves and other household appliances not for washing and eating, but for extracting individual parts from them in order to build them into its missiles and kill Ukrainians," Kuleba emphasized.
The Foreign Minister noted that the lists of components that Ukraine finds in downed Russian missiles are regularly shared with partners. He emphasized that the Ukrainian side has repeatedly called for measures to block the supply of components.
