Britain has sent satellite images to the United Nations that may prove that Russia has been supplied with North Korean weapons.
Source. This was reported by the British newspaper The Guardian, citing a military intelligence report that it obtained.
The satellite images were taken from September to December. They show three Russian ships – Maya, Angara and Maria. According to the newspaper, the satellite images showed containers being loaded onto Russian ships in a North Korean port.
It was not possible to determine what was in the containers, according to the British intelligence report, but in recent weeks, suspicions that the DPRK is transferring ballistic missiles to Russia have been growing louder.
Russia does not admit to receiving missiles from the DPRK, but the United States and its allies consider the transfer of missiles to be an established fact.
On January 4, US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that Russia had received a number of missiles and launchers from the DPRK and had already fired at least one missile at Ukraine during a massive strike on December 30.
Background. As a reminder, the Russian military has complained about the poor quality of North Korean missiles, calling them "absolute sh*t."
