Belgium allocates €200 million for Ukraine to purchase ammunition

De Kroo promised that additional ammunition would arrive in the coming weeks

Belgium will allocate 200 million euros for the purchase of artillery shells, which Ukraine desperately needs.

Source. This was announced by Prime Minister Alexander De Kroo, BBC reports.

This assistance is incomparable to the sacrifices Ukraine makes every day, but Belgium can give it more ammunition to repel Russian aggressors, De Kroo wrote on Twitter.

He promised that additional ammunition would arrive in the coming weeks.

Background. As a reminder, the Czech Prime Minister said that about 15 countries had signed up to an urgent plan to purchase ammunition for Ukraine. For his part, Dutch Prime Minister Rutte said that his country promised to allocate 100 million euros to implement the Czech initiative.
