Nuland: U.S. guided precision bombs will soon be on the front lines

U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland said that guided precision small-diameter bombs will soon arrive at the frontline in Ukraine.

Source. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine with reference to a briefing held by Ms. Nuland for journalists on Wednesday evening.

"We continue to provide security support in all categories, including new investments and new weapons systems, such as the small-diameter bomb that is on its way to the front, and we support the rebirth of Ukraine's defense industry and our own to ensure that we can continue to fight those who want to steal our freedom," Nuland said.

Victoria Nuland noted that she will leave Kyiv with confidence that the occupiers will receive "surprises" on the battlefield.

"I am leaving Kyiv today more optimistic about the outcome in 2024 and its absolute strategic importance for Ukraine. I am also leaving more confident that Putin will get 'pleasant' surprises on the battlefield, and that Ukraine will be able to achieve a very strong success this year," she said.

In addition, she emphasized that the United States is also working with Ukraine to strengthen the climate for international investment and to continue to build Ukrainian institutions to fight corruption and push out the shadow economy so that companies can come to the country and invest in it.

"Ukraine's victory is obviously vital here in Ukraine, but it's also vital for the freedom and security of all of us. And we are all proud to stand with Ukraine," Nuland said.

The Deputy Secretary of State also noted that this winter Ukraine has become stronger and more resilient than when she came here last winter.

According to her, today in Kyiv she had the opportunity to meet with government leaders to discuss the way forward in 2024.

As reported, US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland arrived in Ukraine on Wednesday, January 31.
