Ukrmetalurgprom: steel production down 79.3%, iron production – 77.6% in 2 months

Ukraine significantly reduced iron and steel production in 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.

This is stated in a report by Ukrmetalurgprom.

According to Ukrmetallurgprom, in January-February 2023, the company produced:

• 0.74 million tonnes of pig iron (22.4% compared to January-February 2022);
• 0.71 million tonnes of steel (20.7%);
• 0.59 million tonnes of rolled products (20.1%).

It should be noted that the information is based on the operational data of the metallurgical enterprises.
