Ukrmetalurgprom: steel production down 79.3%, iron production – 77.6% in 2 months
Rolled steel production decreased by 79.9%

Ukraine significantly reduced iron and steel production in 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.
This is stated in a report by Ukrmetalurgprom.
According to Ukrmetallurgprom, in January-February 2023, the company produced:
- 0.74 million tonnes of pig iron (22.4% compared to January-February 2022);
- 0.71 million tonnes of steel (20.7%);
- 0.59 million tonnes of rolled products (20.1%).
It should be noted that the information is based on the operational data of the metallurgical enterprises.
Previously. Mind reported that, according to Ukrmetalurgprom, steel production in 2022 had decreased by 70.7% and pig iron – by 69.8%.
