Ukrmetalurgprom: steel production down 66.2%, pig iron down 65.7% in 3 months

Ukraine significantly reduced iron and steel production in 2023 compared to the same period (January-March) of 2022.

This is stated in a report by Ukrmetalurgprom.

According to it, in January-March, the company produced

• 1.2 million tonnes of iron
• 1.24 million tonnes of steel
• 1.03 million tonnes of rolled products.

It is specified that the data are based on the operational data of metallurgical enterprises.
