Only the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Police and emergency services will be allowed to use pyrotechnics

The Verkhovna Rada has passed a bill that bans the use of fireworks in Ukraine.

A total of 290 MPs supported the draft law 7438, which provides for tighter control over the use and circulation of pyrotechnic products.

MP from the Voice party Yaroslav Zheleznyak noted that the document contains a provision banning salutes and fireworks.

"The Rada has adopted in general #7438 – strengthening control over the use and circulation of pyrotechnic products (ban on fireworks). THERE WERE 290 VOTES IN FAVOR. And yes, there is a provision banning fireworks and salutes," he said.

Another MP, Oleksiy Honcharenko, added that the ban does not apply to the use of pyrotechnics by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Police and emergency services.

"The use, sale and transfer of fireworks, salutes and firecrackers is prohibited. But! The ban does not apply to the use of pyrotechnics by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Police and emergency services," he clarified.

At the same time, the ban does not apply to F1 class fireworks, which have a very low level of danger and a low noise level (no more than 60 dB).

They can be used during statutory holidays and non-working days, city days and other holidays in accordance with the decision of the local council and at sports competitions.
