Between June 12 and 16, the annual London Tech Week exhibition-festival will gather 20,000 participants: representatives of startups from dozens of countries around the world, opinion leaders, politicians, and investors. The project themes range from artificial intelligence to medical technologies.

The event will feature an Investor Lounge,  a special space for investors from the world's largest funds to communicate with startup founders. Eight Ukrainian teams will have a chance to attract funds for their growth. What solutions will they use to win over investors and visitors? Mind gathered the key facts.

Datrics

The team’s key product is a cloud platform that allows companies to do deep data analysis with minimal or no programmer involvement. The founders of the startup are Anton Waisburd, Kyrylo Kirikov, and Volodymyr Sofinsky. They started working on the project in 2019, and the company was officially registered in the spring of 2020..

Initially, Datrics was a tool for banks and analytical firms. However, over time, more Web3 projects became clients. Therefore, the startup began to focus on blockchain.

The co-founders initially built the company at their own expense, investing about $100,000. Datrics received its first investment in August 2020 from the Sigma Software Labs incubator and the Inspirium Laboratories fund. Around the same time, venture fund of Andriy Ivanov, QPDigital, also invested in Datrics. In 2021, ICU Ventures invested in the startup. Stakes of investors are not disclosed. That very year, Datrics was part of the winter cohort of the Y Combinator startup incubator, where it received $125,000 in exchange for 7%. In 2022, when blockchain company NEAR Protocol invested in Datrics, it was revealed that the startup had raised more than $1.5 million since its inception.

Finmap

Founders of the project: Oleksandr Solovey, Dmytro Dubilet, Ivan Kaunov 

Its main product is a cloud service and iOS application that help manage cash flows for small and medium-sized businesses. The service automatically updates reports on money movement, profits and losses, creates analytical selections by indicators, and shows account balances.

Finmap was founded by entrepreneurs Oleksandr Solovey and Ivan Kaunov in 2019. Dmytro Dubilet joined the team at the beginning of 2021. Finmap provides integrations with more than 2,000 European banks and services: PayPal, Wise, Revolut, ApiXDrive, Fondy, etc. It also allows for the management of a crypto portfolio. For Ukrainian users, integrations are available with PrivatBank, monobank, and PUMB.

Finmap received its first external funds in 2020 from the government. At that time, the USF provided the team with a $50,000 grant. In 2020 and 2021, the company held two rounds with European investors. In 2023, the service attracted another 1 million euros. The lead investor was SMOK Ventures, an American-Polish venture fund.

Getpin

This is a tool for managing customer experience on third-party online platforms. The service allows simultaneous posting of promotions, company information on Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile, controls one's own reputation, and analyses user behaviour. Consolidated statistics can be viewed in a single dashboard.

The startup's founder is Volodymyr Leshchenko. In January 2019, the team began actively working on product creation. It rebranded, purchased the right domain, made a market entry plan, and then started selling. By 2021, the startup had entered the Estonian market, and in 2022, it entered Poland.
There, the team received a grant under the Poland Prize programme. The startup now serves over 50,000 business locations and is one of 108 Google Business Profiles Partners worldwide and a Bing for Places Trusted Partner. 

Howly

This is a platform where users can receive 24/7 online consultations from specialists in various fields. "You choose the category where you need professional consultation and enter your question in the chat. On Howly, you have round-the-clock access to thousands of experts in various fields – from finance and health to PC repair, smartphones and household appliances," its developers explain.

The startup was founded in 2021. It currently operates in six countries: the USA, Australia, the UK, and others. The team asserts that the selection process for individuals providing consultation consists of four stages: an interview, verification of degrees and licences, and testing of hard skills as well as soft skills.

Melt Water Club

The startup was founded in 2021. It currently operates in six countries: the USA, Australia, the UK, and others. The team asserts that the selection process for individuals providing consultation consists of four stages: an interview, verification of degrees and licences, and testing of hard skills as well as soft skills.

"We researched the process and found the possibility of purifying water during ice formation. As I like to say, nature has already done everything for us, and we have researched its process and incorporated it into today's technology," Osadchy explains. The gadget can be programmed and the degree of water mineralisation adjusted. It can generate around 4 litres of water per day. The startup's clients are international organisations, charitable foundations, and private individuals.

In total, about $250,000 of personal funds have been invested in the development. The team has received grants from USAID, Global Innovation through Science and Technology, won the Social Impact Award 2022, and were part of delegations to Las Vegas (CES2023) and Hamburg (OMR Festival 2023).

The startup positions its product as a "comprehensive sales solution". The platform utilises artificial intelligence to assist in finding potential customers. The service can send emails across various channels, track them, and nurture potential clients to boost conversion rates. In addition, it provides integration with various CRMs for contact management.

Recently, the company added a new feature: creating automated mailings using AI. For this, they utilise GPT-3 technology. AI was trained on their own analytics, which they managed to accumulate over Reply's 8 years of existence. For example, they used information about the emails that were opened more frequently than others.

The startup was launched by Oleg Bilozor in 2015. In 2016, Digital Future announced an investment of $350,000 in the project. WannaBiz fund invested an additional $50,000 in that round.

Webitel

Webitel's products solve business tasks in the field of customer relationship management (CRM), IP telephony, and customer contact centre construction. "Regardless of whether you prefer cloud services or desktop solutions, purchasing licences or subscriptions, Webitel will provide the optimal solution for your business," the company states.

Webitel was founded in 2007 by the Lviv IT company IT-SPHERE. Its beneficiaries in equal shares are Oleksandr Chuchko and Vitaliy Kovalyshyn. Webitel targets banks, insurance companies, medical clinics, online shops, and retail. Among its clients are ATB, Khreschatyk Bank, Agrocombank, BilotserkivMAZ R&D company, and others. 

YouTeam

YouTeam positions itself as a marketplace for "renting" software developers in Eastern Europe and Latin America for medium to long-term projects. The company's main clients are founders of tech start-ups who have secured Series A investments. YouTeam was founded by Ukrainians Anton Mishchenko, Yuriy Rifyak, and Mykyta Voloshyn in 2014.

In two years of operation, according to the team, the start-up surpassed the $1 million milestone in sales. "With us, any company can find the appropriate team of developers within 48 hours and hire them to start creating a project the following week," the company says.

The team has attracted investment from Ukrainian funds Digital Future, TA Ventures, and U.Ventures. In 2018, the start-up made it to Y Combinator. At that time, the team received $120,000 in investment for a 7% stake in the company.
