Ukrgasbank is a Ukrainian state-owned bank that works in three main directions: financing alternative energy, energy-saving technologies and environmental protection.
Ukrgasbank ranks #4 among Ukrainian banks in terms of assets. As of January 1, 2021, the bank's assets amounted to 142.7 billion UAH, which was 19.6% higher than the previous year. It is on the list of systematically important banks and a subscriber to the BankID system.
In January 2021, Ukrgasbank signed an agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to provide the state bank with a EUR 30 million loan for 5-years that can be converted into a 20% share in the bank's capital.
In April that year, Teymour Bagirov was appointed the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the bank. The bank's press service explained that Bagirov's predecessor, Shrenik Davda, had written a resignation letter in order to fulfill other professional duties.
