Recon: 'special operation' breakdown leads to purges among Russian top ranks
The reasons for dismissals are all the same: unfulfilled tasks, significant losses of personnel, equipment, and weapons

What happened. After repetitive defeats of Russian invaders inland and the liquidation of cruiser Moskva, the word leaked out that a new wave of repressions swept over army and fleet command in Russia.
Source. The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security refers to a statement made by the Chief Directorate of Intelligence representative Vadym Skribitskyi on the telethon air.
Details. The following high-level military officials have been relieved of duty:
- Admiral Osipov, Commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, who is now under arrest
- Lieutenant General Yershov, Commander of 6th Combined Arms Army
- Lieutenant General Kisel, commander of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District and the Deputy Commander-in-Chief
- Major General Marzoev, Commander of the 22nd Army Corps of the Southern Military District
- Colonel Ponomariov, Commander of the 103rd separate logistics brigade.
The reasons for giving them a boot are the same in all cases: unaccomplished tasks, substantial losses of personnel, equipment, and arms.
Background. So-called Deputy Commander of the "DPR Ministry of Defense," Edward Basurin, is reported to be taken in an unknown direction after communicating with Federal Security Service (FSS) officers. Repressions continue against the commanders of the Russian army. They "have fallen short of expectations" of the Russian Federation leadership and continuously failed tasks in Ukraine.
