Authorities advised Germans to stock up on food for 10 days
The reasons are not clearly stated, but they are precisely related to the war waged by russia

The Federal Minister of the Internal Affairs of Germany, Nancy Faeser, called on the people of Germany to prepare in advance for “emergencies”.
Although sanctions against russia due to the military invasion of Ukraine are not directly mentioned, she stressed that electricity could be cut off.
“Think, for example, of cyber attacks on critical infrastructure,” Faeser said in an interview for Handelsblatt.
“If the electricity is cut off for a longer period of time or everyday life somehow fails, it certainly makes sense to have an emergency power supply at home,” Faeser referred to an article published by the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance.
The list, according to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, should be as follows (per 1 person):
20 liters of water;
3.5 kg of cereals, bread, pasta, rice and potatoes;
4 kg of vegetables and legumes;
2.5 kg of fruits and nuts;
2.6 liters of milk and dairy products;
1.5 kg of meat, fish, eggs or egg powder;
357 grams of fats and oils;
products to your taste, such as honey or chocolate.
A list of necessary hygiene items and medicines is also provided.
Earlier, Germany informed about the need to “reactivate” bomb shelters.
As the country's Finance Minister said the day before, Germany is ready to impose an oil embargo on russia. Moreover, the EU may announce an oil embargo against russia as early as this week.
