Ukraine comes under rocket fire from belarus, reports The Insider. According to it, the border areas of Ukraine are being shelled from the territory of belarus. It is known that four missiles struck the north of the Rivne region near the cities of Sarny and Dubrovytsia.
According to preliminary data, civilian infrastructure came under fire. Also, according to The Insider, two missiles were confirmed to hit the gas station of the local operator “Zhuravlyna” near the city of Sarny on the M-07 highway.
Ukrainian media also report explosions in the Rivne region.
Earlier, Ukrainian military intelligence said that on the night of June 25, russia fired on Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy regions from the airspace of belarus for the first time.
“Six Tu-22M3 aircrafts launched 12 X-22 cruise missiles. The launch line is the area of the city of Petrykiv, not far from Mozyr, approximately 50-60 kilometers from the state border of Ukraine,” the intelligence report reads.
According to the Ukrainian military, this is the first time that russia has launched air strikes on Ukraine directly from the territory of belarus.
“Today's shelling is directly related to the kremlin's efforts to involve belarus in the war against Ukraine as a direct participant,” the intelligence department says.
