The first ship with grain leaves Ukraine on Monday morning – Ministry of Infrastructure

It became known that the departure of the first vessel with grain from the Odesa maritime merchandise port was expected at 9:15 on Monday.

Source. The Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov.

Details. “Today, at 09:15, for the first time since February 24, the departure of a ship loaded with Ukrainian food from Odesa port is expected. It is the RAZONI vessel, which, under the flag of Sierra Leone, is heading to the port of Tripoli in Lebanon. It will move along the corridor, the safety of which has been confirmed by our guarantor partners – the UN and Turkey. There are 26,000 tonnes of Ukrainian corn on board,” the statement says.

According to him, today Ukraine, together with its partners, is taking another step towards preventing world hunger.

It is noted that 16 more ships are already waiting in line in the ports of Odesa. The ships that have been blocked since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia are meant.

“In the coming weeks, with the support of our partners, we are going to reach the full capacity of transshipment of agricultural products,” Kubrakov added.

Background. The first caravan with Ukrainian grain may arrive in Istanbul as early as August 3.

The restoration of grain exports will begin with the dispatch of ships that could not leave the port due to the beginning of a full-scale invasion of russia. The Ministry of Infrastructure expects to promptly export more than 20 million tons of last year's harvest and start exporting the new one.
