Direct losses of the Ukrainian economy exceed $108 billion – KSE Institute
The amount of losses increased by $12.8 billion in one and a half months

What happened? As of August 1, direct losses to the Ukrainian economy caused by damages to infrastructure and residential buildings increased to $108.3 billion (2.9 trillion UAH).

Details. Since June 13, the amount of damage has increased by $12.8 billion. The key factor of the increase became the growth in the number of damaged and destroyed housing.
According to the latest data, at least 129,900 residential buildings have been destroyed or damaged, of which 114,700 are private buildings, and 15,100 are apartment ones. Direct damages caused by the destruction of high-rise buildings amount to $42.3 billion, and another $5.4 billion of losses were caused to owners of private buildings.
The sphere of infrastructure suffered losses in the amount of $31.6 billion. As a result of hostilities, the losses caused to enterprises and industry are already estimated at $8.8 billion.
In total, since the beginning of the war, at least 388 enterprises, 43,700 units of agricultural machinery, 1,991 stores, 511 administrative buildings, 18 civilian airports, 105,200 passenger cars, 764 kindergartens, 634 cultural buildings, 27 shopping centers, and 28 oil depots have been damaged, destroyed or captured.
As of July 27, 2022, 2,217 educational institutions ($3.8 billion in losses), 903 medical institutions ($1.6 billion) and 89 social institutions (over $300 million) were destroyed.
