What happened? Today, on August 5, the russian military again staged provocation. As a result of their attack at 2:30 p.m., three strikes were recorded near the ZNPP industrial site.

Details. The enemy hit the high-voltage communication line of the 330 kW switchgear of the ZNPP – Zaporizhzhia Thermal Power Plant autotransformer.
“Despite the provocation of the ruscists, the ZNPP continues to operate and produce power for the Ukrainian energy system through the lines that are operating. Based on their capacity, the decision was made to unload and disconnect from the network one of the working power units of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant from the grid,” Energoatom reports.
It is noted that no emissions or discharges of radioactive material were recorded.
Previously. The Director General of the IAEA stated that the Zaporizhzhia NPP, occupied by the russians, had gone completely out of control.
