What happened? Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation bought a satellite for the money which was raised for the purchase of Bayraktars. The satellite will provide access to the database of satellite images of the ICEYE company for more than a year.

Details. “From now on, our army will receive high-quality satellite images as quickly as possible. They will help us to plan the military operations promptly. There will be a lot of explosions,” Prytula says.
Devices of ICEYE type observe the Earth in the microwave range, which allows to obtain images of the surface regardless of the time of day and weather conditions. The data is usually updated every few hours, which allows monitoring of combat operations at the tactical level.
It is noted that separate people can be distinguished in microwave images due to the photo resolution of up to 25 cm per pixel. In addition, the satellite is located at a convenient angle for observing the territory of Ukraine.
Background. Earlier Ukrainians collected UAH 600 million in three days for the purchase of Bayraktars for the Armed Forces. At the same time, the Turkish company BAYKAR, which produces famous drones, announced that it would provide Ukraine with UAVs for free.
