The occupation authorities of Zaporizhzhia refused to provide the IAEA mission experts with special passes
The delegation is forced to wait in a general queue for a long time

The IAEA delegation is standing in line at the checkpoint on the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, Yevgeniy Balitskiy, head of the interim administration of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, said on the air of Russia-24 TV channel, which the BBC refers to.
Details. In order to get to the part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast occupied by russian troops, IAEA experts have to wait in a general queue, as the occupation authorities refused to provide them with special passes, said Vladimir Rogov, who holds the position of a member of the main council in the kremlin-appointed administration.
The IAEA mission will stand in line to get to the “liberated” (this is what the russian forces call the territory of Ukraine captured by them – ed.) part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. This is due to the fact that they will not get special passes. They could get there safely, quickly and without any obstacles from the territory of russia, though,” he wrote.
The russian news agency TASS, quoting the pro-russian authorities, reports that the mission is expected to arrive in Zaporizhzhia on the morning of Thursday, September 1. IAEA inspectors left Kyiv on the morning of August 31.
Previously. Energoatom reported that the IAEA mission had arrived in Zaporizhzhia. Experts should record violations of standards and norms of nuclear and radiation safety at the ZNPP against the background of the russian occupation.
