Details. The explosions caused a fire that damaged the 330 kV power transmission line of Zaporizhzhia TPP. It was the last transmission line connecting the ZNPP with the energy system of Ukraine. All others were destroyed by intense shelling.
“The russian occupying forces have been continuing shelling the territory around the Zaporizhzhia NPP for the past three days. As a result, such power transmission lines as the 750 kV Dniprovska line of the ZNPP, 330 kV ZTPP–Kakhovka and 330 kV ZTPP–Melitopol lines were damaged and disconnected. The 750/330 kV line of the ZNPP was damaged as well. Other lines of the ZNPP/ZTPP node were damaged earlier,” explained Energoatom.
Background. Earlier, the 5th power unit at the ZNPP was shut down again. Then, only unit No. 6 continued operating with limited capacity.
