What happened? The occupying forces hit the central market of Avdiyivka. As a result of the shelling, at least 7 people were killed and 8 were injured.

Details. The head of the administration notes that there were plenty of people in the market at the time of the attack. Besides, Mr. Kyrylenko urges residents of the oblast to evacuate.
“There is no military logic in such shelling – only an unstoppable desire to kill as many of our people as possible and intimidate others,” Mr. Kyrylenko comments.

Vitaliy Barabash, the Head of the City Military Administration, clarified in a comment to Suspilne that the number of injured as a result of the attack had increased to 11 people. He also noted that all the people killed in the market were women.

The Prosecutor General's Office reports 12 injured after the attack on the city. It is also noted that one of the seven dead is a man, and the other are women.
In addition, the state body points out that the shelling was conducted from Grad MLRSs. Shells damaged not only the market, but also surrounding buildings and residential apartment buildings.
