NSDC imposes sanctions against 7 clergymen of UOC-MP
All these representatives of the church had their assets blocked

What happened? The National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) imposed sanctions against 7 priests of the UOC-MP.

Details. Personal restrictions apply to:
- Andriy Kovalenko, Metropolitan of Zaporizhzhia and Melitopol of UOC;
- Vasyl Povorozniuk, Metropolitan of Luhansk and Alchevsk of the UOC;
- Oleksandr Prokopenko, Abbot of Melitopol Monastery of St. Sava the Sanctified of the UOC;
- Oleksandr Fedorov, Abbot of the Holy Dormition Cathedral of the UOC in Kherson;
- Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary of the UOC, member of the Inter-Council Presence of the russian Orthodox Church, Ivan Pakanych;
- Metropolitan Meletius of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna of the UOC, Head of Department on External Church Relations of the UOC, Valentyn Yehorenko;
- Archbishop Paisius of Kostiantyniv, Vicar of Horlivka Diocese of the UOC Victor Shinkarev.
The restrictions are applied for 5 years. They include blocking assets, preventing the withdrawal of capital from Ukraine, prohibition of participation in the privatisation or lease of state property, etc.
