What happened? The process of negotiations on providing Ukraine with air and missile defence systems and, in particular, Patriot systems, is ongoing.
Source. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his interview with TF1 and LCI, Ukrinform reports.
Comment. “The process continues. I am personally engaged in it. It is very necessary for us. Everything we do in Ukraine is to bring the result closer. ... We are constantly talking about this (with U.S. President Joe Biden), I look at this issue with a positive attitude, with a great positive,” President Zelensky said.
He also recalled that the issue of providing Ukraine with the Crotale system had been discussed with President of the French Republic Macron.
“I do not know how they work, they have not yet started working. We have examples with American NASAMS or German IRIS-T. We are fighting for systems that depend on the decision of Italy and France. They are SAMP-T. These systems and other anti-aircraft systems will help us,” President Zelensky stated.
