What happened? Ukrainian agricultural sector suffered $2.25 billion losses for 6 months of full-scale war.

Details. The FAO representative clarified that $1.26 billion of this amount were the losses of households in crop production, $1 billion – in livestock.
As of now, 25% of these households have stopped or reduced their production due to the war. Currently, 50% of the surveyed households' income is spent on food, and for the frontline regions the figure increases to 75%.
“To support 500 thousand agricultural households, provide assistance with seed material, animal feed, and equipment, we are going to attract about $100 million,” Ms. Burka added.
