Belarus claims that Ukrainian missile crashed on its territory

A Ukrainian S-300 missile allegedly crashed in Belarus, according to the state news agency BelTA, cited by Sky News.

Details. The Defence Ministry of Minsk is reportedly investigating whether the missile was shot down by Belarusian air defence systems or was a misfire.

Local reports claim that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has asked a "group of specialists" to investigate the matter.

The alleged incident occurred between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. local time. According to BelTA, there is no information about the casualties. Ukraine has not yet commented on this statement.

Anna Liubakova, a Belarusian journalist, tweeted:

"Officially confirmed: this morning a S-300 missile fell in Belarus. President Lukashenko ordered to create a group of specialists to investigate the incident. There are no casualties. Propaganda immediately accused Ukrainians of this."

In November, during one of the russian attacks, an S-300 missile fell in Poland, killing two farmers. According to preliminary data and analysis of the missile debris, it belonged to the Ukrainian air defence system.

It is important to note that S-300 missiles are Soviet-era weapons and are used by both russia and Ukraine.
