Ukrzaliznytsia for the first time modernised an electric train of Ukrainian production
In total, Ukrainian Railway modernised 14 trains in 2022

What happened? Ukrzaliznytsia JSC for the first time undertook modernisation of an electric train EPL9T, which was manufactured at Luhanskteplovoz in 2004.

Details. The modernised electric train now has ramps in each main car, inclusive toilets with changing tables, places for transporting bicycles, specially equipped seats for passengers with disabilities, USB / Type-C ports for charging gadgets, video surveillance systems, lighting of passenger embarkation and disembarkation areas.
Mr. Kamyshin did not specify which route the modernised train will run.
The electric train can accommodate 964 passengers and can reach speeds of up to 120 km/h.
In total, Ukrzaliznytsia modernised 14 electric trains in 2022. However, all of them were manufactured in Latvia and only EPL9T – in Ukraine.
