Details. "To ensure the balance in the power system, all oblasts were informed on the consumption limits, which are valid throughout the day," the statement reads.
It is noted that as of 7 a.m., the limits were critically exceeded in Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv oblasts, due to which emergency shutdowns were applied to maintain the stable operation of the power system.
In some oblasts, due to gusty winds, there are damages to the networks of distribution system operators, repair works are ongoing.
In the frontline regions in the east and south, the situation with power supply remains difficult due to significant damage to power grids as a result of active hostilities.
"Currently, the power system is unable to cover the consumption in full due to the damage and temporary occupation of a number of power plants that produce electricity, including Zaporizhzhia NPP, the capacity of which would allow to fully cover the demand for electricity," the company states.
