9 people were killed and 60 injured, including 14 children, as a result of a missile hitting a multi-storey building in Dnipro. This was reported by the head of the Oblast Military Administration Valentyn Reznichenko. Three of the victims are in serious condition.

Details. One entrance of the house was completely destroyed. Earlier, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko commented: "There are still people under the rubble of the destroyed house. The rescue operation is underway."

The district where the residential building was struck is completely de-energised and disconnected from life support systems, said Mayor of Dnipro Borys Filatov. According to him, the debris will be removed all night.

15 people have been rescued from under the rubble. People are signaling their location with flashlights and mobile phones, said Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the Presidential Administration. Rescuers are using cranes to help people get out. 

On January 14 in the afternoon russia launched a massive missile attack against Ukraine. Explosions were heard in Mykolaiv, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Ternopil, and other oblasts. In Kyiv there were emergency power cuts, in Kharkiv the subway stopped.

At least three strikes on critical infrastructure facilities of Ukraine were recorded. They took place in Lviv and Kharkiv oblasts. Explosions occurred in Kyiv and Odesa. In Kyiv, according to local authorities, critical infrastructure facilities were not damaged.

Power supply was cut off in Ivano-Frankivsk, Zhytomyr, and Poltava oblasts. Some districts of Kherson and 35 settlements of the oblast were completely de-energised, according to the head of the Oblast Military Administration Yaroslav Yanushevych.

"These are forced measures related to another russian missile attack – in order to protect energy facilities from possible serious damage, their operation should be suspended," said Mr. Yanushevych.
