What happened? The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) is conducting searches of the Kyiv Tax Service.

Details. It is known that the searches are carried out at the office of the Head of the Tax Service of the capital and the Deputy Head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Kyiv.
According to the source, SBI is investigating the fact of illegal receipt of VAT refunds from the state budget, including through abuse of power and official position by representatives of tax authorities.
As a result of such actions, public funds worth more than 30 billion UAH were diverted into the shadow economy.
