Reznikov after meeting with the German Defense Minister: "There will be a lot of positive news soon"
Germany will provide at least 80 tanks by the end of the year

Ukraine's Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov today met with his German counterpart Boris Pistorius, who arrived in Kyiv and "personally brought" the first Leopard tank (a symbolic smaller model of the tank).

Details. According to the minister, options for speeding up the production of ammunition for Ukraine, in particular, air defense systems were discussed during the meeting.
"We discussed not only the conditions for protecting our skies, but also cooperation for the future – after the victory," he said.
Rezniko said that the German government has already decided to supply Ukraine with Leopard 1 tanks. There will be 20-25 of these tanks by the summer, about 80 by the end of the year, and more than 100 Leopard 1 tanks in 2024. This is three battalions, including materials to be purchased, spare parts, ammunition and training.
"And, of course, we do not forget about the supply of 14 Leopard 2 A6 battle tanks to Ukraine," he added.
The Defense Minister also noted that his German counterpart really admires the speed of Ukrainian training. He noted that the weapon systems are working effectively for Ukraine in this war of aggression against Russia. This applies to Marder, NASAMS, Patriot.
"By the way. 600 Ukrainian sergeants have already started training with the German Armed Forces," Reznikov wrote.
Background. Earlier, Reuters reported that Rheinmetall would send 20-25 used Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine this year.
