Lithuania presents Ukraine with Bofors L70 anti-aircraft guns
They will help to protect critical infrastructure

Lithuania has handed over Swedish-made Bofors L70 automatic anti-aircraft guns to Ukraine.
Source. This was announced by the head of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense Arvydas Anusauskas, BBC reports.
Details. He noted that some of the installations have already been delivered to Ukraine. They "will help protect important infrastructure," he said.
The Lithuanian Defense Minister announced Lithuania's decision to transfer 36 of these systems to Ukraine a few days ago.
The L70 40mm automatic anti-aircraft guns were developed by the Swedish military-industrial concern Bofors in the late 1940s on the basis of the L60 anti-aircraft guns that were in service with various countries during World War II.
According to the head of the Lithuanian Defense Ministry, these anti-aircraft guns should help Ukraine fight drones that Russia is using to attack Ukraine's critical infrastructure.
Background. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Lithuanians have raised €6 million to purchase air defense systems for Ukraine.
